We
designed 10 zones of radiant floor heat for the Conklin residence.
We also designed and installed a dual boiler system that heats the
outdoor pool as well.

The tubing was stapled down to the top of the sub-floor for a lightweight
gypsum pour above. The tube placement is spaced more densely at
the windows and doors to create even warmth.

|
The
gypsum underlayment is applied over the radiant tubing to create
gentle, uniform warmth. Additionally, it provides excellent sound
control between floors.

The
living room illustrates the freedom of furniture placement with radiant
floor heat. |

Towel
warmers are mounted on either side of the Jacuzzi tub. They provide
luxuriously warm towels as well as supplemental heat. |

|
The control panel was fabricated in our shop in 2 sections. Each section
was pressure tested, wired, and all system functions pre-tested before
delivery to the job site. In addition to the 10 heating zones, the
system also heats the towel warmers, domestic hot water, the outdoor
pool, and it is set up to heat a hot tub in the future. All control
functions are fully integrated for optimum system efficiency. |

|
The boiler system consists of 2 Weil McLain oil-fired boilers. The
boilers are staged, rotated and reset to provide greater efficiency
and reliability. The combustion air is drawn directly from the outside
to the burners, eliminating the need to use warm air from the building
for combustion. |
