Conventional
heating systems locate registers or convectors on outside walls.
They deliver hot air that goes up the cold outside walls and across
the ceiling, creating higher heat loss in the building and wasting
energy. Conventional heating also creates uneven temperatures throughout
the room, requiring a higher average air temperature in an attempt
to maintain comfort.
Radiant
heating systems heat the objects in a room, completely surrounding
you with consistent radiant warmth and yielding higher comfort levels
at lower air temperatures. This can result in energy savings of
20-40% in a residence and up to 60% in shops and warehouses.
